JJ and Credit Cards

So First JJ- My poor little man- He had an ear infection a couple of weeks ago in his right ear-so we got antibiotics. The night he finished them, he woke up crying again saying his ear hurt. We gave it a couple of days to see if it would pass (he said it was fine in the morning)and then he started again- waking up at night crying his ear hurt. So we took him back to the dr. Another round of antibiotics- ear infection in the other ear- that was friday. Tuesday night he woke up with a fever. So back to the dr (becuase he had already been on drugs since friday) only to find out that he now had a double ear infection and they both looked really really bad- so he had to have a shot. Dr assured us he wold probably wake up today feeling like a million bucks! Alas- not meant to be;-). Ran a fever all day and by the evening it was up to 104! so another call to the dr ( I am sure he is getting tired of hearing from us by now)- said the standard motrin and tylenol every 3 hours tonight and back tomorrow first thing for another shot (he doesnt know this yet or he would be freaking out and not sleeping as he is right now)...it is so sad and heartbreaking when your 3 year old holds his hand up to his ear when you are 6 inches away and still says "what mommy- I can't hear you!"...as for the picture- he had his "Train Parade" at Preschool this week. He and daddy had a lot of fun making the train (A little more daddy than JJ but he still got to glue some stuff and cut some paper;-)

Now- for the credit cards... Of course with Jchon being laid off in january, money is getting a little tight (as the understatement of the year), so I have been calling credit cards to see if we can either skip a payment or defer or lower or something. You can guess my astonishment when EVERY SINGLE ONE said they can not help us until we are at least 60 days PAST DUE! No one could help us because we are not behind yet!!! That is amazing that we are current on all of our bills, but know we do not have the money for all of them right now, and yet they can not (will not) work with us because we are not late yet. This is the idiocy that is so rampant in our society today. They can't help us because we haven't done anything wrong yet???? Is there not something wrong with this picture? Are we not feeding into the mentality of shirking our responsibilites when our attempt at proactivity is not only not rewarded but completely rejected! OK...enough of my soapbox (and just to be clear- donations are gladly accepted at this point;-D) As for the lower picture, I havent put any cute recent pics of daniel on lately, so thought I would include this... he is getting so big so quickly!
