Hallelujah

I know..when it rains it pours! I was surfing Youtube trying to figure out which song the guy with the dreds sang yesterday on Idol- I dont normally watch and Jchon said it was really good so at his request I looked it up (fyi- Jason Castro and it was really good) but while looking I ran across this. It really struck a chord with me (some puns intended) and I though I would share. It inspired Jchon to go up and get his guitar and we sang it for almost an hour. I am not a great singer (I can only imagine what Simon would say :-D) but maybe someday I will record it and put it on here for when someone needs a good laugh:-D Apparently it is from world idol. Enjoy and goodnight;-)

Hasseled the Hoff!

Ok- Gotta say... I had so much fun tonight!! Much more than I thought I would. Jchon got us a couple of free tickets to go be in the studio audience for a taping of "America's got Talent". It was so much fun. First let me say, it will air sometime between June and Oct and we were in one of the (obviously) Dallas special shows. We did not get to see much "talent". In fact we boo'd much more than expected (hello...drag queens that didn't even do anything entertaining!) So here is the story. We got there at the appointed time and stood in line for about an hour. When we were finally ushered inside, we were taken to the upper balcony. We got seated right in the middle of the balcony in the very first row! We were jazzed to say the least! We sat there for about 15 minuted when an usher came and told all of us sitting there (about 40 people) the needed to keep filling up the bottom rows and we needed to follow him downstairs. So we all packed up and down we went. Now they were seating all of our group from the balcony in the very very back on the sides and were were standing waiting to take out seats semi disappointed but being thankful for the entertainment regardless when a man came up to jchon and I and asked how many in our group. When we told him it was just us, he asked us to follow him and he lead us up to the high balcony on the right... Now there were only 6 chairs up there total in 3 groups of 2- and he seated us in the very first 2 seats!!! so we were about 25 feet from the judges exactly even with them and very exposed! There was an emcee that you don't see on the show directing us in between filming and before the show started etc (very funny guy) who picked US out of the crowd to talk to. He was poking fun at all the people there and then pointed to us and said "I would like you all to give a warm welcome to the royal family";-) and as my sense of humor is finally starting to return (thank you wellbutrin), I gave a petite very royal from the elbow wave making everyone laugh. He thought it was very funny I guess and started talking to us at most of the breaks- asked us if we were married and how long, asked what Jchon did and then when the judges came out, introduced us to David hasselhoff and even poking fun saying Jchon had a GREAT job (making a silly face) as a graphics designer:-)...I am probably not telling it well, as I am tired, but it was very entertaining! So while being referred to as the "royal family" for several hours and the entertainment value of being on a date (WOOHOO no kids!)- we had a really great day! I can't wait to see the airing to see if/how much we are on. I tried not to make funny faces, but it is hard to smile for 4 hours and not make some funny faces... We shall see:-D
