Little of this and a little of that

Whew...crazy few weeks. So here is the recent scoop.

Mom and dad have moved in next door (two weeks ago). Just before they moved, Jchon and I painted her house. And by house, I mean every single painted surface in the house. The previous owner was a smoker, so we had to paint to get rid of the smell. let me tell you, if I NEVER paint another ceiling, it will be too soon;-). but they are in now and quickly getting settled. Very nice to have them next door!

Anyone who REALLY knows me, knows the gravity of the next statement. I have actually had coffee most mornings for the last 2 weeks! I am NOT a coffee drinker (ironic because I make it for church). I am actually quite a tea snob. So much so that I keep my own tea in my purse. Obviously, I am VERY tired lately;-).

JJ had his 4th birthday!! I Can't believe I have a 4 year old!! He has been asking us to go horseback riding for almost a year and we told him when he was 4. So for the last 6 moths he has been saying " I am going to go horseback riding when I am 4." He did really well. He made it through an hour and a half ride and talked his trail guide's ear off. We also went to a a Ranger's game. He was ready to go before the game even started, but he made it through the whole thing. Now he loves to tell people that he got to see the batter that swung and the bat shattered when he hit the ball.

Finally, I am off for 3 days of MOPS fun. The convention this year is right in Grapevine and we are all going. We are even staying the night! Woohoo! get ready for MOPS gone wild!!
